Welcome! Greetings and Welcome to a New Semester and to Civics Literacy! This semester we will be covering a smattering of international governments, a lot of our own government (all three tiers and branches (a.k.a. FEDERALISM and Separation of Powers)), AND a smattering of economics. We will be exploring the levels, branches, events, etc. that have created a foundation, as well as major changes for our nation and how we went about those items.

FAST Unit Unit One is really a short overview of some key components that are pivotal to our government both in function, but also in rights and obligations. The Test for Unit One is NEXT WEDNESDAY! Please make sure you are asking any questions you need to ask. In World History and occassionally in Sociology (if you had them with me), we used to have a review day before each test, those do NOT exist this year. You will have the study guide shared one week before the test usually (you have one day less, because we won't have even started notes). This is so you can review a little at a time and not cram all at once. If you have a question PLEASE ASK, I would rather know we've clarified something than have you be confused and learn the wrong items.

This Blog This blog will hold little write ups like the above sections each week, as well as the general agenda items on the left. The agenda items on the left are so you can find all you need to find in Canvas. So if I was absent one day I would look for the title of the heading from the agenda and then complete my notes, check in, and extension activity that are underneathe the heading. Occassionally your warm ups will be their own entity in which case they will be in between the extension of the previous day and the notes for that day. Unless it is an inquiry, in which case it'll be in its own module. I look forward to the semester ahead!
